On the afternoon of January 15, 2002, Microsoft announce the final
release of the .NET Framework. The first official version of the .NET
Framework is currently available as a download from http://www.asp.net/download.aspx or through the MSDN Web site.Visual Studio .NET will be released to the public on February 13th.
MSDN susbscribers may download Visual Studio .NET by logging into
the MSDN Subscription Web site.ASP.NET is available as free download and runs on the following platforms:
Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional and Server (SP 2 recommended)
Microsoft Windows XP Professional
Microsoft Windows .NET ServerPlease remove all Beta versions of ASP.NET before installing Version 1.
