Har problem med regler som inte går att ta bort. Får upp följande dialog när jag använder mailklienten.

Jag har inte flera klienter kopplade till samma mailbox. Men jag har importerat mailboxen från server A till server B med Xmerge.exe så servern och klienten kanske inte är riktigt överens :OO

How to Use MDBVu to Delete and Re-Import Rules
Before you do this step, be sure to export a copy of your rules to an .RWZ file so that you can import them later. Use the following steps to use MDBVu to delete the rules in your mailbox:
Double-click the Mdbvu32.exe file, and then select the proper profile when you receive the prompt.
In the MAPILogonEX(MAPI_LOGON_UI) dialog box, click OK.
In the MDB Viewer dialog box, click MDB, and then click OpenMessageStore.
Click Mailbox, and then click Open.
In the MDB Viewer dialog box, click MDB, and then click OpenRootFolder.
In the MAPI_FOLDER - Root dialog box, locate and double-click Top of Information Store in the ChildFolders box.
In the MAPI_FOLDER - Top of Information Store dialog box, locate and double-click Inbox in the ChildFolders box.
In the MAPI_FOLDER - Inbox dialog box, locate the Associated Messages in Fld box, and then locate and click Outlook Rules Organizer.
Note Do not double-click Outlook Rules Organizer.
In the Operations available list, click IpFld->DeleteMessaes()(ON SELECTED MSGS), and then click Call Function. Click OK when you receive the confirmation window.
Continue with the previous steps, but do not delete the Outlook Rules Organizer. Instead, look at each item that starts with "cb: 40|*pb:" (without the quotation marks). Double-click these items, and then verify if the following line is present:
PR_MESAGE_CLASS PT_STRING8 IPM.RULE.MESSAGE
Each item should have a Message Class, but it is the IPM.RULE.MESSAGE portion that you are interested in. Delete any item that has IMP.RULE.MESSAGE present.
Click Close until you return to the MDB Viewer box.
Click the Session menu, and then click Exit.
Click OK to all dialog boxes that you receive.
Följer jag den instruktionen så går det faktiskt att ta bort reglerna (eller någon regelflagga) på servern men likväl får jag inte bort reglerna på klienten. Fattar inte... Hade ju varit trevligt om det hade funnits ett bättre GUI för att fixa detta :(

Det är inte särskilt upplyftande att få höra att den produkt man jobbar med och lämnar support på är en "skitprodukt", inte sant? Jag menar räcker det inte med att vanliga användare beskyller datorer, operativsystem och program för sin egen okunskap? :l

Exmerge.exe, MDBVu.exe etc... i all ära, men deras funktionalitet ska naturligtvis vara inbyggda i exchange server från början :(

AD är något som "stals" från Exchange och flyttades till operativsystemet - för att ta ett exempel.
För att vara en produkt med rötter från mitten på 90-talet (c:a 10 år sedan) så tycker jag nog att vi kan säga att den var extremt välutvecklad jämfört med andra produkter från Microsoft. :stud
Det går att ta bort felaktiga regler med Mdbvu32.exe. Jag försökte först att göra detta på servern men det var betydligt enklare att gå runt med orginal cd-skivan till servern och köra Mdbvu32.exe på klienten direkt via skivan. Då kommer man in i rätt mailbox automagiskt...
Manuellt och jobbigt, men fungerar :r
