Jag ber om ursäkt att jag kommer skriva på engelska, men jag är säkert att med tanke på min stavning det kommer vara enklare för både er och mig.
I have very little experience with such things as I usually had domains registered over my webhotel (which I quit some months ago). Now I have a domainname registered through an american company (namecheap.com) and only need to find a space and an IP aderss for it. Now my question is:
Can I just register an account at any given webhotel or do I have to make sure they offer something specific?
Do webhotels usually require to move the domains to them (I rather like namecheap and just to point the adress someplace)
Any ideas of what would be a good webhotel for my needs? To begin with I will mainly use the e-mail services (pop3 or imap) but would like to have 50-150 mb anyway, just for a welcome page and maybe some pic hosting. Ah yes, and a reasonably cheap price is always welcome. :)
Tack I förväg. Det gå bra att svara på svenska... att läser är mycket enklare :stud

It depends on your needs. If you're just going to run a basic web site (HTML + images) any host will do. However, if you want have a guestbook, a forum or perhaps a counter on your homepage you will need a host that supports a server-side language such as PHP. PHP combined with the database MySQL is a powerful combination that will allow you run pretty much all sorts of scripts on your web site.

No. They (the host) will provide you with the names of two dns servers, which you enter in the appropriate fields at your registrar (namecheap.com).

Check out the "Start" (Linux) package at gate9.se. It will cost you 20 kr per month. PHP is supported and 5 MySQL databases are included in the price.
