Jag får inte ikonen att synas

Icon myIcon = new ImageIcon("theimage.gif");
JLabel myLabel = new JLabel("text");
myLabel.setIcon(myIcon);
därefter lägger jag till myLabel till en JPanel osv.
Texten syns men inte ikonen. Man skall inte använda MediaTracker till ikoner väl?

Prova med ImageIcon myIcon = new ImageIcon("theimage.gif"); istället.

Så som du gjort borde funka, men du kan ju t.ex. prova att skicka med Iconen till konstruktorn. Sen kan det vara att filen inte hittas, eftersom ImageIcon håller tyst i sån fall.
