Using X-Windows, open a terminal window. Keep this window open until you have installed all of the components of JBuilder 3.5 Enterprise.
Change to the CD-ROM directory. (For example: From the command line, enter: cd /mnt/cdrom)
Change to the JBuilder 3.5 Enterprise CD. From the command line, enter cd entcdjb35.
Before you begin the installation process, you will need to add the location of the JDK to your path.
From the command line, enter export PATH=/usr/local/jdk1.2.2/bin:$PATH.
Note: If you installed the JDK to a different directory, then substitute your own path and directory.
From the command line, enter sol_linux/foundation/no_vm/install.bin to launch the first part of the installation program.
Follow the prompts and click Next.
Accept the license agreement when prompted, then click Next.
Choose the directory where you want JBuilder installed, then click Next. Do not choose a directory that contains spaces in its name. JBuilder will not run if the name of the directory in which it is installed contains spaces.
When the installation program is completed, click Done.
Any clues, anyone?
*trött*
