De erkänner själva att det är en rip-off på sidans faq och jag är själv inte emot det, för jag tycker verkligen att de människor som ägnar tid åt att utveckla fiefox förtjänar en slant!

Så om man erkänner att man är rip-off så är det lugnt?
Inte så kreativt. Milliondollarsnubben blev rik för att han kom på något. Det här blir bara konstigt.
Tjäna pengar? Om de inte ljuger totalt i FAQ'n så tjänar de nog inga pengar på det, eftersom pengarna skickas till Mozilla Foundation.

Yes and no. The idea for HelpFirefox.com comes from Alex’ web site, but I think we have done a good twist on the concept. And most important of all, this is all for a really good purpose.
Jag har inte sagt att han tjänar pengar, men det gör han visserligen indirekt eftersom Loopia annonsen sitter på det bästa stället av sidan (vilket är hans företag).
Det finns lite felaktigheter i tråden. Sam grundade Loopia och ägde Loopia fram till dess att Active 24 (som de heter om de inte bytt namn igen) köpte Loopia. Om jag förstått saken rätt sitter Sam fortfarande kvar som VD men äger inte Loopia längre.

Each of the one million pixels on the page cost one dollar, and all revenues were to be donated to the non-profit Mozilla Foundation, which develops Firefox through its subsidiary the Mozilla Corp.
The page was a success, generating $13,800 in ad revenues the first day. However, we received feedback from a significant number of Firefox fans voicing concerns about our approach. Many felt that they work hard to make Firefox the worlds best browser and that it should not be relying on this kind of fundraising activities. We took this criticism seriously since one of Firefox’s greatest strengths is the strong support of its users and community and closed the campaign. All sponsors were refunded immediately and Loopia has gone ahead and donated $13,800 to the Mozilla Foundation.
We are very grateful to all who have supported us and the Firefox browser and offer our apologies to any who may have been offended by it.
