Howdy Angry Armadillo!

Have you ever heard of Swen Magnus Swenson, the first Swede that immigrated to Texas in 1836. After about 10 years he became a wealthy man and started to encourage other Swedish families to join him in Texas, he even paid off the cost for their tickets if they started to work for him at his farm outside Austin.

Today, 160 000 Texans claim Swedish descent, and even the tradition of Santa Claus "may" have been imported to Texas by Swedish immigrants in 1848.
