Jag har i en tidigare tråd försökt att koppla en Simens till Internet men den tråden är som bortblåst....
Hur som helst, det verkar som om kabeln är sönder!
Kan man verifiera att kabeln, en USB kabel, fungerar?
Telefonen beter sig konstigt... eller, den fungerar inte! Bara i början, liksom. Då har daton och telefonen kontakt.
Datorn är en relativ ny bärbar Dell med USB men utan parallellport och med Windows 2000. Telefonen är en Siemens s55.
Följande är saxat från ett e-brev skickat till mig från Siemens support ang. GPRS uppkopling för en Timeport....
Kan kanske var till hjälp för din felsökning, om du har fortfarande har problem, skicka ett e-brev, dom svarar snabbt :)
IR & Windows 2000
Windows 2000 is not supplied as standard with the IrComm module required for Infrared mobile communications. Note that this is a Windows issue, so the solution offered is a third party one. Though this usually sorts out the problem, Motorola cannot guarantee that it will work.
Go to Control Panel / System / Hardware / Device Manager and then select Modems.
Activate the IR port on the phone and point it at the IR port of the Computer.
A new modem called 'Standard Modem over IR link' MIGHT appear on the Device Manager list.
If it does, right-click on this modem and choose the disable option. If it does not appear, go to the next step.
Now download the IRComm2k patch from www.IrCOMM2k.de, (click on English Pages, then on Current Version and download the English Version).
The Downloaded file is in zip format and must be completely extracted before running setup.exe. Make sure that all unnecessary programs are closed before running this, especially Antivirus or Synchronisation software, and that the IR port is not being used. Now restart the computer.
Select Control Panel / Wireless Link, and uncheck 'Allow others to send files to your computer using infrared communications' under the 'File Transfer' tab, and 'Use Wireless link to transfer images from a digital camera to your computer' under the 'Image Transfer' tab.
To complete, manually install a modem as detailed below.CSD GPRS
Modem Installation
Go to Control Panel and choose Phone and Modem Option.
Click Modems tab at the top.
Choose Add.
Select "Don’t detect the Modem, I will choose it from a list." Select Next.
Choose a Standard Modem (28,800 or 33,600). Select Next.
Choose the Virtual Infrared COM Port. Select Next.
Select Finish
Make sure the modem is selected in the list of modems and click on properties.
Change the speed to 57,600
Select the Advanced tab.
Choose "Change Default Preferences" and check port speed is 57,600 and flow control is on none.
Select Okay / Okay / Close.
Dial-up Networking Setup
Go to Network and Dial-up Connections (in Control Panel)
Select Make New Connection.
Select Next.
Choose "Dial-up to the Internet". Select Next.
Choose "I want to set up my internet connection manually". Select Next.
Choose "I connect through a phone line and modem". Select Next.
Select the modem that you have just set up. Select Next.
Put in the Dial-up number and then untick the "Use area code and "dialling rules"
Click on "Advanced"
Choose Connection Type "PPP" and Logon procedure "None".
Now click on the Addresses tab at the top and choose "Internet service provider automatically supplies one" for the IP address and the DNS numbers.
Select Okay.
Select Next.
Enter your User Name and Password as supplied by your ISP. Select Next.
Choose a name for the connection. Select Next.
Choose No for the Internet mail account and press NEXT.
Select Finish
This completes the setup for making a CSD connection. You can now double click on the connection icon, activate the infrared port on your phone, enter username and password and press connect.Modem Installation

AT+CGDCONT=1,"IP","APN"
Where APN is specific to the network you are using.
