Cookie only in Firefox and not in IE

Well my problem is that I have a page with checkboxes. In IE it remembers what checkbox was checked/unchecked but not in FF so what I did was a cookie so it will remember in FF but now it's problems in IE so what I would need is a code that does is save/open the cookie in FF but not in IE. Can that be done?
